In un liceo romano si incontrano Giuliana (Margherita Buy), preside diligente, Fiorito (Roberto Herlitzka) l’insegnante di storia dell’arte ormai disincantato e Prezioso (Riccardo Scamarcio) supplente che ancora concepisce il suo mestiere come una missione. Tratto dall’omonimo libro di Lodoli, Il rosso e il blu sfugge agli stereotipi del genere scolastico e descrive il mondo della scuola con ironia e sentimento. Non racconta storielle adolescenziali, ma il microcosmo della scuola con autenticità e un po’ di speranza.
Giuliana (Margherita Buy) is a scrupulous headmaster, Fiorito (Roberto Herlitzka) is a disenchanted teacher of history of art and Prezioso (Riccardo Scamarcio) is a substitute teacher who conceives his job as a mission. They all work in the same school in Rome.Based on the homonymous book of the Italian writer Marco Lodoli, Il rosso e il blu rejects all stereotypes of the school story and describes the school life in an ironic and sentimental way. It does not tell stories for adolescents, but authentically depict the school environment.
